Our client, a well-established and expanding construction company in central Iowa, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Concrete Construction Project Manager for their highway team. This key role involves managing heavy highway and roadway construction projects, ensuring top-quality results, on-time completion, and adherence to budget.

What you will be doing:
* Manage project budgets and strive to "beat the budget" for optimal cost control
* Utilize computer-aided software for project scheduling and coordination of subcontractors/vendors to maximize production and ROI
* Prepare and distribute methods of financing (MOF), manage pre-production meetings, and analyze construction plans accurately
* Review bids, estimates, and change orders, and conduct detailed job cost analyses for cost optimization
* Negotiate, prepare, and review contracts with clients/vendors, and assist in material, subcontractor, and equipment purchasing decisions
* Stay updated on local market prices, aim to improve company and crew efficiency, and manage multiple projects using computer-aided scheduling software
What you will need:
* 5+ years of heavy highway/road construction experience
* Experience managing project budgets in the field and negotiating
* Proficiency in math, communication, planning, and organization
* Strong leadership presence
* Experience working with the Iowa Department of Transportation
* Degree in construction project management or engineering is preferred
