Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Payroll Administrator to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $33.00 to $35.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:
* Process payroll using online payroll and time reporting systems, including adjustments for overpayments, fringe benefits, and bonuses.
* Collect and audit weekly time and attendance data to ensure accuracy and certification by employees.
* Maintain payroll records and document processes in compliance with retention policies and internal procedures.
* Respond to inquiries from employees, management, and tax agencies regarding payroll issues and discrepancies.
* Prepare bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll reports and assist with payroll journal entries.
Requirements:
* Demonstrate proficiency in ADP WorkforceNow and familiarity with Deltek (Costpoint) systems.
* Apply strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and file importing/exporting for payroll reporting.
* Communicate effectively with employees and management and conduct payroll training sessions when needed.
* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including multi-state payroll processing.
* Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll data and meet strict deadlines under pressure.
Qualifications:
* A Associate's degree in Accounting or a related field; payroll or HR certification (CCP, SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
* 5+ years of payroll experience, including 2+ years working with ADP WorkforceNow.
* Show familiarity with prevailing wage and certified payroll reporting requirements.
* Exhibit strong knowledge of payroll laws, multi-state employment regulations, and tax compliance.
* Display excellent organizational skills and ability to work occasional overtime or weekends as business needs dictate.
