Clayton Services is searching for an Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to join a thriving company in Houston. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing daily AR functions, processing customer payments, reconciling accounts, and supporting the AR Manager to ensure accurate and timely financial operations.
Job Type: Direct Hire
Pay Rate: $52,000-$58,240/year

Accounts Receivable Specialist Responsibilities:
* Process customer payments, apply cash, and maintain accurate payment records.
* Prepare and send customer invoices in a timely manner.
* Reconcile AR accounts daily, weekly, and monthly.
* Research and resolve payment discrepancies and short-pays.
* Perform collections calls and follow-up on outstanding balances.
* Generate AR aging reports and provide updates to the AR Manager.
* Assist with month-end closing activities related to AR.
* Communicate with internal departments and customers regarding payment status and billing questions.
* Enter, track, and update customer information within NetSuite.
* Utilize Excel to analyze data, prepare reports, and maintain AR spreadsheets.
* Support the AR Manager and perform additional AR duties as needed.
Accounts Receivable Specialist Skills and Abilities:
* Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
* Ability to analyze data and reconcile accounts accurately.
* Effective communication skills with the ability to handle collections professionally.
* Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables a plus).
* Experience using NetSuite required.
* Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills.
* Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
Accounts Receivable Specialist Education and Experience:
* 4-5+ years of accounts receivable experience required.
* Experience with NetSuite and Excel required.
* High school diploma required.
