Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking an Accounting Manager to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $58.00 to $65.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:
* Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of general ledger activity.
* Review complex royalty calculations and statements, and manage related audits and documentation.
* Supervise payroll processing and prepare related journal entries and reconciliations.
* Lead and mentor accounting staff, including performance evaluations and task delegation.
* Identify and implement process improvements while supporting ad-hoc financial projects and audits.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 5+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2+ years in a supervisory role.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
* Experience in a dynamic, fast-paced business environment is preferred.
* Prior experience with Oracle and public accounting (Big 4 or large regional firm) is a plus.
* Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
* Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.
* Excellent analytical and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
* Ability to interpret contracts and apply appropriate accounting treatment.
* Comfortable working in an office environment with extended computer use and occasional physical activity.
