Staff Accountant
Location: Playa Vista, California (full time, on-site)
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing team. This role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable processing, and assisting with monthly close activities. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting knowledge, accuracy, and organizational skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting
* 2-4 years of accounting experience (preferably in a corporate or startup environment).
* Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting principles.
* Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar).
* Strong Excel skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Demonstrated self-starter who works well collaboratively
Responsibilities:
* Prepare journal entries for review/approval.
* Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly.
* Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
* A/P: Monitor and help process vendor purchase orders, invoices and employee expense reports.
* A/R: Support collections and customer billing, including revenue recognition tracking.
* Experience with ERP software (e.g., QuickBooks Advanced, BILL, Brex) to process transactions and generate reports.
* Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and standard operating procedures.
* Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation as needed.
Additional Skills or Expertise (a plus, but not required)
* Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or government contracting industries
* ERP use and implementation experience
Compensation:
* $75,000 - $95,000, Salary may vary with experience
