Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site
Shifts: Days: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (12*3)
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Open Heart (CVOR) Registered Nurse to join its Cardiovascular Operating Room team. This role supports complex cardiac surgical procedures in a high-acuity, collaborative environment at a Level II Trauma and teaching hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care for open heart and cardiovascular surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during cardiac surgeries, including pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases
- Maintain sterile field and ensure patient safety throughout procedures
- Monitor patient condition and respond to changes during surgery
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and surgical staff
- Adhere to hospital protocols, evidence-based practices, and safety standards
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of Open Heart (CVOR) RN experience in an acute care setting (required)
- Active Florida RN license or compact license
- Compact license holders must obtain Florida license within 60 days of relocation
- BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA Healthcare Provider) - required
- BSN preferred
- CNOR preferred
