Job Overview Roxbury Treatment Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc., located in Shippensburg, PA, has 112 beds and offers acute psychiatric, detoxification, and rehabilitation services for adults and an adolescent inpatient program. Position Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN)
NEW GRADUATES WELCOME TO APPLY! Requirement: (4) 12's per month.
Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Roxbury Treatment Center.
The Registered Nurse prescribes, coordinates and delegates nursing care.
The Registered Nurse completes nursing assessments and documents care and progress of the patient each shift.
The Registered Nurse facilitates medication administration activities in accordance with safe medication practices, including patient education.
The Registered Nurse responds to all crisis/emergency events to direct staff and ensure patient safety.
Attends Treatment Team to aid in the development of patient care plans.
Oversees and directs the mental health technicians in patient care activities.
The Registered Nurse is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit under the direction of the Nurse Manager or DON.
The Registered Nurse may also assume Charge Nurse Responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
Current license to practice nursing in Pennsylvania (or eligible to receive or renew).
Current CPR or BLS certification.
