Registered Nurse (RN) – Per Diem (PRN) – Behavioral Health – Roxbury Treatment Center, Shippensburg, PA
Roxbury Treatment Center is looking for Per Diem RNs. This nurse will work on our Adolescent or Adult Mental Health Units and Substance Use Disorder Unit.
Responsibilities
Provides professional nursing care on a designated unit consistent with Roxbury Treatment Center's philosophy and objectives.
Prescribes, coordinates and delegates nursing care.
Completes nursing assessments and documents care and progress of the patient each shift.
Facilitates medication administration activities in accordance with safe medication practices, including patient education.
Responds to all crisis/emergency events to direct staff and ensure patient safety.
Attends Treatment Team to aid in the development of patient care plans.
Oversees and directs the mental health technicians in patient care activities.
Accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and promotes and enhances professional nursing practice on the unit under the direction of the Nurse Manager or DON.
May also assume Charge Nurse Responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
Current license to practice nursing in Pennsylvania (or eligible to receive or renew).
Current CPR or BLS certification.
