Echocardiography Manager – Full Time – Days – Memorial Healthcare System

Summary
Manages the daily operations of a comprehensive Adult Echocardiography service line to ensure alignment with program and organizational objectives.
Responsibilities
Determines, coordinates, and manages daily staffing assignments and staffing levels.
Trains, coaches, and evaluates assigned staff on performance expectations.
Assists with departmental QA/QI and other program initiatives.
Assists with equipment quality control testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure proper working order.
Performs advanced diagnostic imaging (3D, myocardial mechanics, mechanical circulatory support devices, transcatheter therapies, etc.) and serves as a trainer and expert resource for cardiac sonographers, cardiac fellows, and physician staff.
Communicates regularly with the department director(s) to determine future needs, concerns, and issues pertinent to the operations.
Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management.
Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, payroll, and student engagement.
Coordinates patient care with other members of the healthcare team to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
Oversees inventory and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies.

Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking, effective communication, decisive judgment, and ability to build and foster positive relationships.
Other Information: Can be registered as a diagnostic cardiac sonographer (RDCS) or registered cardiac sonographer (RCS).
Additional Education: Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound imaging program.
Required Work Experience: Five (5) years of adult imaging experience in a hospital setting.
