Distribution Center Clerk (Office Support)

Responsibilities
Daily order allocation and processing.
Inventory management – DSP Projects, Item Inquiries, and Adjustments/Receipts.
Purchase Order – Vendor setup, correspondence, and sourcing vendors.
PO entry for non-stock supply purchases for all consumables (POs, Grainger, WB Mason).
Vendor relations – coordinating, monitoring, and scheduling.
Facilities management – coordinating, monitoring, and scheduling maintenance/repairs and equipment.
Supervising shipping, receiving, production, and coordinating sales team group events.
Sales interaction – phone, email with order fulfillment and exceptions.
Assist in order exception investigations.
General information requests from Sales, Allocations, Purchasing, Supply Chain, etc.
Workflow (Process Maker) for DC expenses/invoicing (supply purchases, equipment repairs, etc.).
Vendor log / sign‑in sheet management.
Approve all invoices, filing/maintaining packing lists for purchases outside ERP.
Outbound freight scheduling/selection (LTL, CUST, brokered services, export compliance/commercial invoices).
Monitor and resolve pre-release order processing.
Reconcile all month‑end freight bills, pro‑numbers, and discrepancies.
Monitor cases and coordinate resolutions by engaging carrier inspectors.
Supervise and monitor equipment binder reviews, ensuring keys are accounted for and forms maintained.
Write SOPs for receiving, production, and DC clerk activities.
Secondary Responsibilities
UPS/FX shipping.
Will Call servicing.
MHE operation to load/unload trucks.
Qualifications
2‑5 years of warehouse/inventory management experience.
Proficiency in MS Office suite and ERP systems.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with general transportation terms.
Comfortable in a production environment with a high sense of urgency.
Proven ability to multitask while maintaining high levels of organization.
Prior use of RF technology/computerized WMS systems.
Must be authorized to work in the US and be at least 18 years of age.
