Position Purpose: This is a part‑time registrar position requiring 12‑hour shifts (7a–7p, 11a–11p, 7p–7a). Open availability is required 7 days a week, including weekends and holidays.
Position Summary: Researches, collects & analyzes information; identifies opportunities, develops solutions, and leads through resolution. Collaborates on performance improvement activities and is responsible for distribution of analytical reports.
Process Focus
Utilizes multiple system applications to perform analysis, create reports & develop educational materials.
Demonstrates knowledge of departmental processes & procedures.
Data Management & Analysis
Researches and compiles information to support ad‑hoc operational projects.
Synthesizes & analyzes data, provides detailed summaries including graphical presentations, and recommends practical solutions.
Leverages program & operational data to demonstrate ROI and impacts.
Compliance & Knowledge Maintains knowledge of applicable federal, state & local laws, Trinity Health Integrity & Compliance Program, Code of Conduct, and other policies.
Functional Roles
PAR I : Entry level; minimum 1 year customer service experience. Patient Access experience preferred.
PAR II : Performs PAR I role; additional minimum of 2 years hospital registration or insurance verification experience. Knowledge of medical terminology, diagnostic and procedural coding required.
Patient Access Account Specialist : Minimum 2+ years hospital registration or insurance verification experience; specialized knowledge to support organization’s strategic objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA certification within one year of hire.
Additional Qualifications (Nice to Have)
Medical terminology and knowledge of diagnostic & procedural coding.
Insurance verification with ability to explain benefits and secure authorizations.
