Senior Accountant
to support their expanding operations. This position offers high visibility, frequent interaction with senior leaders and external partners, and meaningful opportunities for professional growth.
The role is fully onsite in West LA.
Primary Responsibilities:
Fund Close & Reporting:
Partner with external administrators during monthly and quarterly closes to review NAV calculations, management fees, waterfalls, investor allocations, and fund-related expenditures.
Reconciliations & Cash Monitoring:
Conduct thorough reconciliations of bank activity, cash movements, and fund transactions to ensure accuracy across all investment entities.
Audit & Compliance Support:
Help coordinate the annual GAAP audit, prepare required documentation, and uphold internal compliance and reporting standards.
Portfolio Metrics & Internal Reporting:
Produce investment performance analyses (including IRR calculations, multiples, and other key metrics) for internal reports, investor materials, and dashboards. Maintain data integrity across reporting systems.
Management Company Activities:
Assist with budgeting, expense monitoring, reimbursements, and maintenance of the management company’s financial records while partnering with outsourced bookkeeping resources.
Valuation & Tax Assistance:
Contribute to valuation review processes and support the preparation and examination of tax filings, including K-1s and related compliance requirements.
Process Optimization & Ad-Hoc Initiatives:
Collaborate with senior finance leaders to refine existing workflows, document procedures, and assist on special projects such as system implementations or operational enhancements.
What We’re Looking For:
Background:
3+ years of accounting or audit experience. Big 4 experience is strongly preferred, especially with exposure to investment management, private funds, or other financial services clients.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a similar discipline. CPA certification or progress toward one is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Strong Excel capabilities and comfort working with financial models and performance reporting. Experience with closed-end fund structures, carried interest, or management company accounting is highly desirable.
Analytical Strength & Communication:
Sharp attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Work Approach:
Self-directed, solutions-oriented, and eager to improve processes. Someone who works well both independently and as part of a collaborative, fast-moving team.
