The NCSHP has more than 1,600 troopers who cover nearly 80,000 miles of North Carolina roadways, more than any other state except Texas. In addition to enforcing the state's traffic laws, state troopers also guide traffic during hurricane evacuations, re-route traffic around hazardous chemical spills, and they stand ready should any act of terrorism occur. State Troopers are committed to protecting North Carolina's motoring public.**Description of Work**The NC State Highway Patrol is seeking an enthusiastic team member to join our Personnel Unit as a Benefits Manager. The Benefits Manager plays a critical role within an organization’s human resources team. **to see the Total Compensation Calculator****Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:*** ## **Serves as subject matter expert on state-administered benefit programs and works collaboratively with HR, payroll, vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of benefits and services.*** ## **Collaborates with senior leadership to ensure that benefits offerings align with the organization’s strategic goals.*** ## **Analyze benefits data, benchmark against market trends, and make recommendations for program improvements or additions to attract and retain top talent.*** ## **Serves as the primary point of contact for employees, addressing questions, resolving issues, and offering guidance on benefits options.*** ## **Lead annual open enrollment activities , including coordination, employee communications and system updates.*** ## **Maintain relationships with vendors and benefits providers.
