Audit Manager - Global Corporate and Investment Banking Location

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Audit Manager with in-depth expertise in Global Corporate and Investment Banking (GCIB) to lead audit processes across equity capital markets, debt capital markets, investment banking, corporate banking, and leasing. This role is responsible for overseeing audit testing, assessing control environments, and ensuring alignment with the bank's audit policies. As the Audit Manager, you will lead a team of auditors, function as the Auditor-in-Charge (AIC) on high-stakes projects, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders across business lines to improve risk and compliance management.

Key Non-Negotiable Requirements:

Corporate and Investment Banking Audit Experience

: Minimum of 3-5 years covering Internal Audit in Corporate and Investment Banking at a Tier 1 investment bank (e.g., equity and debt capital markets, investment banking, corporate banking).

Audit Leadership and Project Management

: At least 2 years leading audits as Auditor-in-Charge and 8-10 years of audit, business control, or compliance experience in financial services.

Stakeholder and Team Management

: Strong ability to manage relationships, influence senior management, and lead a team effectively.

Educational Requirement

: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Nice-to-Have Skills and Preferred Qualifications:

Professional Certifications

: CFA, CPA, FRM, CIA, or similar certifications.

Advanced Analytical and Automation Skills

: Proficiency in SQL, Alteryx, or other data analytics tools to drive efficient audit processes.

Large Global Bank Experience

: Experience within a large, international banking institution is highly advantageous.

Essential Responsibilities:

Audit Strategy and Execution

: Design and implement risk-based audit scopes and test procedures, ensuring alignment with audit policies. Leverage technology and data analytics for efficient and high-quality audit execution.

Audit Leadership

: Act as Auditor-in-Charge (AIC) by overseeing testing, guiding team members, and ensuring audits meet quality standards and are completed in a timely manner.

Risk and Control Evaluation

: Assess the impact of audit findings on business processes and controls, providing recommendations for control improvements and risk mitigation.

Stakeholder Management and Reporting

: Maintain strong business relationships, provide clear communication with line management, and articulate key findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Team Development and Mentorship

: Lead, mentor, and coach junior auditors, fostering an inclusive work environment that promotes professional growth.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation

: Utilize advanced audit tools and techniques, driving improvements in the control environment and promoting best practices in audit processes.

: 8-10 years in audit, business control, or compliance in financial services, including 3-5 years in Corporate and Investment Banking at a Tier 1 investment bank.

Education

: Bachelor’s degree required.

Technical Skills

: Strong analytical, project management, and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in audit planning, risk assessment, and report writing.
