We are seeking a detail‑oriented and organized Diet Clerk to join our team at our location in Sterling Heights. The Diet Clerk will be responsible for assisting with the coordination of patient meal services, including taking menu orders, ensuring dietary restrictions are met, and communicating with kitchen staff. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work in a fast‑paced environment and have a strong understanding of dietary needs and restrictions.
Responsibilities
Assist patients with menu selections based on dietary restrictions and preferences
Communicate patient dietary needs to kitchen staff
Ensure accuracy of patient meal orders
Maintain records of patient dietary information
Assist with inventory management and ordering of dietary supplies
Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a healthcare or food service setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
Knowledge of dietary needs and restrictions
Ability to work well in a team
Available on weekends and afternoons
