Overview Parker and Sons is looking for a dependable and outgoing HR Benefit Administrator to join our team! As an HR Benefit Administrator at Parker and Sons, you will play a critical role in our company, managing all essential HR benefit administration tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
Location: Local to Phoenix. Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office, two remote.

Responsibilities
Conduct/present new‑hire benefit training to educate new hires on Parker health plans and 401k retirement plan
Ensure that all new hires enroll in or acknowledge/waive new‑hire benefits
Coordinate/conduct annual benefit open enrollment meetings and assist employees with enrollments/changes/terminations
Assist employees with life‑event processes/changes, when needed
Pull weekly file feeds for benefit and 401k enrollments/changes and compare to information uploaded in UKG for accuracy
Review, approve and fund 401k payroll contributions/employer match funds/loans on the Empower website
Send payroll notifications to payroll department for any corrections, make‑up deductions and/or reimbursements needed
Pull monthly employee payroll deduction reports for voluntary benefits and provide accounting department with amounts to pay carriers
Provide accounting department with benefit details and backup to support healthcare and 401k related debits/credits received
Monthly reconciliations of carrier benefit billing and employee payroll deductions
Process/complete Medical Support Notices and Unemployment Claims
Process/complete Disability & Life Insurance Claims
Track missed deductions and benefits owed for employees on FMLA/Leave of Absence
Assist employees with benefit inquiries, obtaining ID cards, etc.
Provide quarterly/year‑end reporting to HR Manager for review and processing, such as ACA reporting, LOA, COBRA and Disability summaries, etc.
Track/file/upload employee benefit documents
Other benefit administration duties as necessary
Qualifications
Minimum 2‑year HR benefit administration or relevant experience
Knowledge of benefit contract language
Must have a clear understanding of compliance requirements and federal and state regulations pertaining to programs like ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Medicare and Social Security
Effective HR benefit administration and people‑management skills
Full understanding of HR functions and best practices
Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools
Fantastic organizational and time‑management skills
Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving skills
Meticulous attention to detail
Advanced verbal and written communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality with all employee information
People person who is friendly and outgoing
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
