Position
Security Analyst – Pocasset, MA
Company Mission Technologies, a division of HII – building advanced unmanned solutions for defense, marine research, and commercial applications.
Responsibilities
Administer overall HII security program for Pocasset, MA and provide guidance and support to HII field sites.
Safeguard and account for all COMSEC material as COMSEC manager; manage records, proper tracking, safeguarding, and reporting.
Disseminate, inventory, and destroy COMSEC material as required.
Participate and contribute to HII’s Security Education and Awareness Training Program.
Generate DD254’s.
Administer and coordinate DOD and other Industrial Security Programs to ensure 100% compliance.
Conduct security briefings for personnel, including onboarding and termination.
Develop and administer security policies and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment; enforce classification, downgrading, upgrading and safeguarding.
Implement and enforce 32‑CFR Part 117 and SEAD 3 Reporting Requirements.
Review and implement federal security regulations.
Obtain rulings, approvals, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance.
Prepare manuals outlining regulations such as SOPs, SPPs, ITPs, EAPs and OPSEC plans.
Establish procedures for record‑keeping, handling, storing, and access control to restricted records and materials.
Support HII’s Foreign Visitor Management Program and be well‑versed in foreign visitor policies and procedures.
Prepare and conduct security education classes and security audits.
Investigate security violations and prepare reports specifying preventive action.
Perform status checks on investigations, determine reinvestigation dates, and relay information to employees.
Conduct semi‑annual security self‑inspections, physical security surveys, and threat/vulnerability assessments, including of secure rooms and COMSEC.
Ensure accuracy of the security clearance database and document control using the Access Commander database.
Interface with government customers on security‑related issues.
Ensure individuals stay within scope for investigations and perform necessary actions for re‑investigations.
Ensure classified information entrusted to the company is safeguarded per federal instructions.
Prepare, manage, and interface with the Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency (DCSA) during audits.
Use US Government online programs such as NBIS, eAPP, DISS and NISS.
Serve as liaison to HII IT on all approvals and installations required for facility/personnel operations and be designated as primary POC for facility operations.
Conduct audits relating to DFAR’s and CUI compliance.
Qualifications
6 years relevant experience with a Bachelors in a related field; 4 years with a Masters in a related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
Thorough knowledge of 32‑CFR, Part 117, ICDs and other DoD compliance requirements.
Thorough knowledge of DIAS and control of COMSEC material.
Required DCSA FSO certification for possession of facilities.
Full knowledge and understanding of industry practices.
Ability to independently demonstrate complex professional tasks.
Team‑oriented, excellent speaking, written, organizational, customer‑service and communication skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision on multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, NBIS, DISS and NISS.
Current Secret clearance with an in‑scope background investigation; ability to meet Top Secret/SCI eligibility requirements if required.
Bonus Points
Minimum 5 years of experience as Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) and/or Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO).
Ability to interpret guidelines and apply them with judgment.
Knowledge of physical security requirements.
Physical Requirements Job performance requires adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for office work environment.
