Main Duties & Responsibilities JOB SUMMARY: Sets up and operates single and/or multi‑die headers for manufacturing precision aircraft quality fasteners. Conduct mangrupikeun variety of tests on single and multi‑die cold headers to ensure machines function according to specifications or to determine cause of unit failure. Develops machine‑specific and/or part‑specific tooling. Assists operators in machine set up.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Competencies Reads test schedule, work orders, test manuals, performance specifications, wiring diagrams, and schematics to determine testing procedures for selected machines. Tests functional performance of machines under specified conditions. Analyzes test results on defective machinery to determine cause of failure. Reads and interprets documents (blueprints, drawings, or manufacturing work orders) to ascertain the tools and materials necessary for producing products to precision tolerance to aircraft specification. Sets up and operates, on a production basis, all assigned headers and their related products, including settings and adjustments required to produce parts to specifications. Selects, mounts, and aligns tooling attachments and materials in proper order and relationship. Makes all necessary adjustments to produce parts of acceptable頤 quality. Loads machines with raw material and monitors production run using measuring devices such as comparators, micrometers, calipers and various other inspection gauges. Reworks and directs reworking of tooling as needed. Keeps accurate statistical process control records, when required, on each job manufactured, making adjustments during production run as the SPC data directs. Meets and maintains qua produtividade e quality requirements to support departmental goals and schedules. Provides training to departmental personnel for all aspects of machine setup and operation. Performs minor preventative maintenance on assigned machines. Performs record keeping, data entry, housekeeping, and follows safety regulations. Ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve heading machinery problems, including setup and operation. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and understand blueprints.
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED. 3‑4 years' experience in set up and operation of single and multi‑die cold heading machines to produce aircraft quality fasteners or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Compensation In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the expected pay range for this position is $24.00‑ Phone. ? I... $42.00 per hour.
