is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide skilled nursing care in the pediatric home care setting. Position Overview

Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing and documenting skilled nursing care in accordance with developed care plans and physician orders for each individual patient while adhering to confidentiality standards and professional boundaries at all times. Essential Job Functions

Delivery and coordination of quality patient care in compliance with physician orders. Continuously observe and assess patient condition and care needs, reporting changes to supervisor/physician as appropriate. Document all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses and coordination of care in a timely manner. Develop, implement and update the nursing care plan. Take appropriate nursing action based on assessment and achieve expected outcomes. Recognize changes in patient needs and responses requiring intervention and implement care to prevent risk or reduce risk. Comply with Aveanna policies, state/federal regulations, accrediting bodies and the Nurse Practice Act. Provide care utilizing infection control measures that protect staff and patient according to OSHA standards. Educate patient and family regarding disease process, self‑care techniques, prevention strategies. Maintain knowledge of competencies via educational programs, CEUs, internal learning management skills and skill evaluations. Qualifications / Requirements

Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice; compact licenses must be transferred within 90 days. Current CPR certification (hands‑on). Aveanna can assist with obtaining after hire. TB skin test current within last 12 months. Six months prior hands‑on nursing experience preferred but not required. Reliable transportation. Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing. Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation and compliance with nursing care and policies. Speak, write, read English Be able to travel Lift 50 pounds; perform prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting Climb stairs and sit; have visual and hearing acuity; adequate sense of smell and touch Reposition patients and move equipment unaided; respond physically/mentally to emergencies. Environment

Work in various home environments; possible exposure to allergens, blood, bodily fluids, infectious diseases. Other Duties
