Job Title Pediatric Private Duty Nurse RN (Part‑time / Full‑time / PRN)

Job Overview Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for providing skilled nursing care in accordance with patient care plans and physicians’ orders while adhering to confidentiality standards and professional boundaries.

Essential Job Functions

Deliver and coordinate quality patient care in compliance with physician orders.

Continuously observe and assess patient condition, reporting changes to supervisors or physicians.

Document all activities,ಭ್ಯ assessments, nursing actions and coordination of care in a timely manner.

Develop, implement, and update nursing care plans.

Take appropriate nursing actions based on assessment to achieve expected outcomes.

Recognize changes requiring intervention and implement care to prevent or reduce risk.

Accept personal and professional accountability by complying with Aveanna policies and nursing regulations.

Provide care using infection control measures that protect staff and patients according to OSHA standards.

Educate patient and family regarding disease process, self‑care techniques, and prevention strategies.

Maintain competency knowledge through continuing education units and skill evaluations.

Qualifications

Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice.

Compact licenses transferred to the state of residence within 90 days.

Current CPR certification with a hands‑on component; assistance available after hire.

TB skin test performed within the last 12 months.

Six months of prior hands‑on nursing experience preferred but not required.

Reliable transportation.

Additional State‑Specific Requirements

South Carolina – One (1) year of pediatric experience.



California – One (1) year of experience working under a current nursing license.

Louisiana – One (1) year of experience working as a licensed nurse.

Continuing education as required by state regulations.

Additional Discipline‑Specific Requirements

Medical Oncology RN – 2 years of RN experience with cardiac monitoring and oncology experience.

Ambulatory RN – 2 years of experience with vital assessment, plan‑of‑care development, and telephone triage.

Medical Surgical RN – 2 years of RN experience.

Peri‑Operative Care RN – 2 years of RN experience, preferably with oncology experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Six (6) months of recent licensed nurse experience in a clinical care setting.

Home‑health experience.

Other Skills / Abilities

Attention to detail.

Time management.

Effective problem‑solving and conflict resolution.

Good organizational and communication skills.

Physical Requirements

Speak, write, read, and understand English.

Travel as required.

Lift 50 pounds.
