The
Patient Services Representative (Phlebotomist – Traveler)
represents the face of the organization for patients seeking routine care or critical health insights. This role is responsible for collecting and preparing quality blood specimens for laboratory testing while following established procedures and safety standards. The PSR builds trust with patients by clearly explaining procedures and performing venipuncture in a
safe, accurate, and professional
manner. Assignments may be in a doctor’s office, patient service center, or other locations based on business needs. Key Responsibilities
Perform daily activities
accurately and on time
under the direction of the area supervisor Maintain a safe and professional work environment Perform
clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing
following established procedures Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient signatures post-venipuncture to confirm correct specimen labeling Maintain required records and documentation with high attention to detail Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a
positive professional image Adapt to assignments at multiple locations as business needs dictate Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum
2–3 years of phlebotomy experience Ability to deliver
high-quality, error-free work
in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent phlebotomy skills, including
pediatric and geriatric
collections Strong decision-making skills and sound judgment Superior customer focus with clear and professional communication Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting Willingness to work weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as required Training locations may vary Additional Requirements
Reliable transportation is required
(bus, Uber, or rideshare is not considered reliable transportation) Must be punctual, available for all scheduled shifts, and able to stay for the full shift Excessive absenteeism or tardiness is not tolerated and may result in termination Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required if applicable Benefits
