Job Summary The
Phlebotomist – Patient Services Representative (Traveler)
serves as the face of the organization for patients seeking routine care or critical diagnostic insights. This role is responsible for drawing high-quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and patient safety in a fast-paced clinical environment. The PSR builds trust with patients by clearly explaining procedures and performing venipuncture in a
skillful, safe, and accurate
manner. Assignments may take place in a doctor’s office, patient service center, or other locations based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Draw quality blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established practices and procedures.
Explain procedures clearly to patients and create an atmosphere of trust and confidence.
Perform both
forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing
duties.
Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient signature post-venipuncture to confirm proper labeling.
Maintain accurate records and required documentation.
Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
Demonstrate leadership behaviors with a focus on process excellence and confidentiality.
Promote a positive image with patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Required Experience
2–3 years of phlebotomy experience
required.
Ability to deliver
quality, error-free work
in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
Excellent
pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy
skills.
Proven reliability, punctuality, and strong attendance history.
Required Skills

weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime
as needed.
May be required to work
multiple locations
with minimal notice.
Must be available whenever scheduled, arrive on time, and remain on-site for the entire shift.
Excessive absenteeism or tardiness is not tolerated and may result in termination.
Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.
Transportation Requirements
Reliable transportation is required
(bus, Uber, or rideshare is not considered reliable).
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required if applicable.
