Senior Tax Accountant
Location: Spring Hill, FL. This is an in‑office position at 7211 Hiawatha Parkway; relocation is required.
Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Tax Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Tax Accountant at Campbell & Company, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the tax planning and compliance for our clients. This role requires handling complex tax issues, ensuring adherence to tax laws and regulations, and providing expert guidance to optimize our clients’ tax positions.
Key Responsibilities
Tax preparation and review of complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships and trusts.
Strategic financial oversight: preparation, review, and high‑level planning of financial statements aligned with clients’ long‑term goals.
Staff mentorship and support: guide and mentor staff accountants in finalising financial statements.
Proactive tax planning: identify opportunities to optimize clients’ tax positions and stay ahead of regulatory changes.
Client collaboration and advisory: build trusted relationships, gather information, provide insightful advice.
Regulatory compliance expertise: stay current with tax laws and regulations to safeguard clients.
Audit and authority liaison: support audits and manage communications with tax authorities.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s degree preferred).
Certification: CPA certification or Enrolled Agent (EA) preferred.
Experience: Minimum 5 years as a Tax Accountant with a focus on corporate taxation.
Technical skills:
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
Proficiency in tax preparation software, particularly UltraTax.
Experience with QuickBooks and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with Thomson Reuters CS Prof. Suite / UT.
Analytical skills: excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills for complex situations.
Independence: ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
Attention to detail: high level of accuracy and detail orientation.
