Job Summary
Senior Model-Based Systems Engineer at Belcan, working with a key aerospace and defense client in Plano, TX.
Job Duties Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop model-based systems engineering solutions, prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for clients and stakeholders, and stay current with MBSE methodologies and tools.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of experience applying systems engineering principles to complex systems, including 3+ years with MBSE concepts and tools (Cameo/Catia Magic/Magic System, System Architect, SysML).
Knowledge of standard architectural frameworks such as DoDAF and UAF.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and engineering practices.
Software Systems Experience, particularly Python and C++.
U.S. Citizenship.
Active Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
OCSMP Certification
INCOSE SEP Certification
Experience with Jama & Matlab
Experience with Agile methodologies & Atlassian tools
Professional knowledge and experience in the Aerospace and Defense domain.
Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript and Groovy.
Experience in MBSE Tool Model Validation Suites.
Experience in MBSE Tool customizations and integrations.
Experience with training/mentoring others in MBSE tools or modeling languages.
Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $100,000 to $163,000. Benefits include health care, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), education assistance, paid time off (PTO), holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.
