The Defense Systems sector is seeking a Calibration Technician 2/3 to support our growing business at Rocket Center, West Virginia. This role involves performing a wide range of calibration tasks, installing and maintaining precision measurement equipment, and supporting ISO/IEC 17025 certification efforts.

Responsibilities

Work independently to perform a wide range of calibration tasks.

Install, set‑up, and maintain electronic and mechanical equipment used in the verification of precision manufactured products.

Maintain calibration system with traceability to National Bureau of Standards.

Communicate solutions to routine technical problems within the Metrology Lab’s policies and procedures.

Take a proactive role in supporting the Metrology Lab Team and in providing customer support, building a high level of trust with internal and external customers.

Supports ISO/IEC 17025 certification efforts as needed; familiarity with ANSI/Z540; supports audits, as required.

Supports or leads PES continuous improvement project(s), as required.

Supports KPIs.

Basic Qualifications

Level 2: High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of experience in a related role OR an associate degree in Electrical, Electronics, Engineering Technology, or other related technical field with 2 years of experience.

Level 3: High School Diploma/GED with 6 years of experience in a related role OR an associate degree in Electrical, Electronics, Engineering Technology, or other related technical field with 4 years of experience.

Strong math skills.

2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing industry is preferred.

Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance which requires U.S. citizenship as a prerequisite.

Ability to interact with Engineers within the organization for advice and questions regarding troubleshooting and repair.

Experience using a wide variety of testing and measurement equipment and proficiency with many types of hand tools, in addition to light mechanical tools.

Being both organized and computer literate is necessary as all Calibration Failure Notices (CFN’s), repair actions, etc., are provided by calibration software.

Primary Level Salary Range: $48,400.00 - $80,600.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $57,500.00 - $95,900.00

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
