Required Experience: No experience required.

Preferred Education: BSN + ≥1 year RN experience (preferred)

Shift: 2x 12‑hour night shifts (7 pm–7:30 am) every Saturday and Sunday night (24 hrs/week). This is a weekend premium position.

Required Licenses & Certifications Active Kentucky Registered Nurse (RN) license, Temporary Work Permit (TWP), Provisional License, or active compact state RN license in good standing, plus American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification valid for at least 6 months after employment.

Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50–100 pounds daily and 25–50 pounds frequently; stand, walk, and sit for long periods; exposure to communicable diseases, radiation hazards, and injury from intractable patients or sharp instruments is possible.

Shift Requirements Must work two, 12‑hour night shifts (7 pm–7:30 am), every Saturday and Sunday night (24 hours/week). This is a weekend premium position; you receive pay for 36 hours/week.

Job Summary The primary responsibilities include providing total, comprehensive, continuous, and patient‑centered care: assessing, documenting, planning, implementing, teaching, developing, and evaluating a comprehensive nursing plan of care; delivering direct patient care; ensuring patient satisfaction; training and delegating duties for Nursing Care Technicians; and adhering to university policies and regulations. The role supports collaborative efforts among nursing staff and physicians to enhance patient outcomes.
