Qualifications
Skilled PT with at least 1‑year recent pediatric experience in home health, acute care, or outpatient setting
Supervision of assistant, student, or other team members for at least 6 months
Bachelor of Science, Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy
Current Texas State License as a Physical Therapist
Current Texas Driver’s License with reliable transportation and proof of auto liability insurance
Current CPR certification
Team‑oriented
Excellent organizational and time‑management skills
Responsibilities
Evaluate and treat children with gross motor delays, mobility difficulties, gait, strength, balance, coordination, range of motion, postural and tone concerns, neuromuscular disorders, and assess orthotic and equipment needs
Supervise other team members, when applicable, in performing patient care that is consistent with patient needs and within scope of practice following professional licensure and agency requirements
Document, prepare, and complete a Plan of Care, progress notes, orders, and other clinical documentation to support and justify service delivery
Provide effective communication and collaboration with patient/family, team members, leadership, and other health care professionals
Accept clinical assignments that are consistent with education and competence to care for patients
Apply concepts of infection control and universal precautions in coordinating/performing patient care activities
Meet mandatory continuing education requirements of the agency/licensing board
Promote agency mission and administrative policies
