Salary Range:
$60,000 - $87,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
Source and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, components, and MRO items.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
Generate and manage purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
Monitor inventory levels to ensure material availability and minimize excess stock.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams on material specifications.
Drive cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing and negotiation.
Resolve supplier performance issues related to quality, delivery, and compliance.
Recommended Qualifications
3-5+ years of direct purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems for procurement processes (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
Demonstrated strong negotiation, supplier relationship management, and contract management skills.
Ability to interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and understand manufacturing processes.
Proven track record of cost reduction, strategic sourcing, and supplier performance improvement.
Bonus Qualifications
Familiarity with manufacturing processes, materials, or components relevant to the industry.
Experience utilizing advanced ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP MM, Oracle SCM) for purchasing functions.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
Certifications in supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CPIM).
Experience with global sourcing and international logistics.
