Overview
The Maintenance Supervisor assists with managing property maintenance operations, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and team oversight. This role plays a key part in maintaining a safe, well‑maintained environment while supporting excellent guest service.
Responsibilities
Assist the department manager in overseeing preventive maintenance, repairs, and the general upkeep of all property, equipment, and grounds
Assist with the oversight, training, and coaching of maintenance team members
Maintain, manage, and complete work orders in a timely and efficient manner
Troubleshoot and repair equipment within the facility
Perform major and minor projects and repairs involving electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, pavers, stucco, pools, and spas
Assist with unit repair projects and guest room maintenance, including carpet, flooring, drapes, drywall, plaster, painting, ceilings, lighting, minor electrical and plumbing, interior and exterior doors, furniture, countertops, appliances, cabinets, televisions, shelving, and other related items
Perform, administer, and document preventive maintenance activities
Complete minor roof repairs, painting projects, and exterior maintenance projects
Help determine the need for contract repairs and external services
Respond courteously and professionally to guest questions, complaints, and requests to ensure strong guest satisfaction
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality business, team members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the resort, including weekends and holidays
Must be able to stand, walk, and lift for long periods of time
Able to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Valid Driver's License required
Ability to work a mixture of shifts between the hours of 7am and 11pm
Ability to independently operate, diagnose, and repair equipment with minimal supervision and limited reliance on outside contractors
Previous experience as a maintenance technician experience required; maintenance supervisor experience preferred
Experience with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC preferred
Passion for providing exceptional service to guests and team members
Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication, and attention to detail
Teamwork and collaboration
Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with guests, coworkers and supervisors
