Position Overview The Alternate Distribution Project Manager supports the Distribution Project Manager in overseeing logistics and distribution projects, with responsibilities including tracking, reporting, procurement coordination, and administrative support. This role acts as the secondary point of contact in the Project Manager's absence and contributes to the successful execution of operational objectives. The position requires sound judgment, organizational skills, and the flexibility to deploy globally within 48 hours in response to emerging mission requirements.

Alternate Distribution Project Manager : Pay commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

Support the Distribution Project Manager in daily operations, including tracking project progress, reporting metrics, managing purchases, and handling various administrative tasks.

Serve as the secondary point of contact for project‑related matters in the absence of the Distribution Project Manager.

Assist in coordinating logistics and distribution activities, ensuring smooth execution of project plans and compliance with timelines and budgets.

Apply subject‑matter knowledge and sound judgment to complete multifaceted tasks with minimal supervision.

Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support the successful delivery of distribution and logistics services.

Maintain accurate project records and assist with documentation, procurement coordination, and status updates.

Operate under the general supervision of senior personnel, providing support for project execution and continuity.

Remain deployable on short notice (within 48 hours) to support global missions or emerging requirements.

Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities Requested

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution; in lieu of a degree, a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in Government or private‑sector roles is required.

At least one (1) year of experience in project or team management, logistics coordination, or administrative support.

Familiarity with logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Effective written and verbal communication skills for reporting and stakeholder interaction.

Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision while supporting larger project objectives.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and project tracking tools.

Ability to deploy worldwide within 48 hours of notification to support time‑sensitive or emergent requirements.

Experience working in support roles under senior project managers or within structured teams is preferred.

Must pass pre‑employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
