Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities primarily focusing on BESS applications, targeting energy storage providers, utility companies, OEMs, EV manufacturers, and battery lifecycle partners (second‑life and recycling) while leveraging expertise in utility‑scale storage solutions and grid integration.
Support managing the sales cycle and hold responsibility for your assigned clients and target industry.
Identify and evaluate growth potentials and technology trends in the battery industry, the Second Life market, the recycling industry, and other relevant industries.
Create reports and sales presentations to support the growth of commercial and partnership stakeholders.
Establish and maintain an accurate customer intelligence base for future product development.
Conduct and drive relevant market and competitive intelligence closely aligned with the head of sales and the team.
Work closely with Marketing to develop and execute strategic campaigns.
Provide market feedback to the Product Manager, Designer, and Tech Team to improve Circunomics products and services.
Represent Circunomics and actively participate at trade shows, conferences, client meetings, and in industrial and academic networks.
Profile
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, MBA, sales or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience managing and executing automotive business accounts and selling high‑end technology solutions.
Proven experience working with energy/automotive and/or battery players: Mobility OEMs, tier‑1s, system integrators, EV players, energy storage companies, recyclers, or within the Second Life Market of Lithium‑Ion Batteries.
Experience in managing complex projects and achieving ambitious targets.
Proactive and hands‑on approach to challenges and a get‑things‑done perspective.
Excellent communication skills in English and German.
Bonus points
Experience in green tech startups, IoT, or energy is an advantage.
Knowledgeable in acquiring and managing key accounts.
Technical understanding is a plus.
Interest in automotive / cars / electric vehicles is a plus.

We provide a comprehensive battery lifecycle management solution, supporting the transition of batteries from the automotive industry, to the energy sector, and ultimately to recyclers who close the loop by recovering remaining raw materials.
Our AI‑powered B2B marketplace allows cells, modules, and packs to be bought and sold. Through the Circunomics Analytics product, sellers and buyers obtain a detailed view of their assets, from current SoH to second‑life simulation, enabling a simpler and more profitable lifecycle management.
The company has been supported by seed investors and business angels. Key players include Next Mobility Labs, recycling partner TES, Orlen VC, and former Audi CTO Dr. Peter Mertens. In December 2024 we completed a Series A round with investors Schaeffler and GET Fund.
In January 2025 we officially expanded into the US market, appointing Adam Willmouth as US Managing Director. We look forward to further growth in this key global market.
