Volunteer Digital Marketing & Content Lead
The
US Global Business Council (UGBC)
is a U.S.-based, non‑profit institution advancing
economic diplomacy, global trade, and sector‑driven collaboration
between the United States and international markets.
As part of UGBC’s institutional communications strategy and in preparation for the
US Global Innovation & Trade Expo 2026 (Detroit) , we are appointing a
Volunteer Digital Marketing & Content Lead
to build and execute short‑form video content across
TikTok
and
YouTube.
This role combines
creative execution with institutional discipline
and offers a
defined pathway to permanent appointment and future salaried engagement
based on performance.
Key Responsibilities
TikTok
YouTube Shorts
Select longer‑form YouTube content (where appropriate)
Produce or coordinate short‑form videos, including: speaker and partner highlights, event countdowns and milestones, educational explainers (mission, sectors, FAQs)
Write
professional, high‑clarity captions, hooks, and calls‑to‑action
(Attend, Exhibit, Partner, Sponsor)
Coordinate internal approvals and posting schedules
Track performance metrics and adjust content based on results
Ensure all content aligns with
UGBC branding, tone, and governance standards
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Posting consistency:
Minimum 3–5 posts/week per platform
Audience growth:
Steady increase in followers and reach
Engagement:
Measurable growth in views, saves, shares, and comments
Conversion signals:
Traffic and inquiries linked to content (registrations, partnerships, sponsors)
Brand integrity:
100% approved, compliant, and on‑message content
What Success Looks Like
Clear, consistent UGBC presence on TikTok and YouTube
Content that feels
credible, human, and accessible — not promotional noise
Strong awareness leading into Expo 2026
Digital channels that support sponsors, speakers, and Council initiatives
A repeatable content system usable beyond the Expo
Ideal Candidate Profile
Strong understanding of
TikTok and YouTube short‑form dynamics
Ability to edit clean, simple videos using tools such as CapCut and native platform tools
Organized, fast‑moving, and detail‑conscious
Comfortable working within an approval and governance framework
Prior content, marketing, or communications experience preferred
Performance‑based incentives tied to defined outcomes
Temporary volunteer appointment subject to evaluation
Permanent role and future payroll eligibility
for proven performers
