Flex Associates support the store organization with workforce planning during periods when regular full-time and part-time associates are unavailable due to planned or unplanned absences. They may also be assigned to handle fluctuations in business activity, assisting in selling and support functions, including sales and customer support.

Responsibilities

Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and desires.

Familiarize with store inventory to provide customers with best product knowledge.

Greet customers consistently and educate them on current promotions.

Build relationships to foster repeat business and promote Saks credit card.

Process sales transactions accurately using the POS register system and adhere to checkout standards.

Resolve customer issues while aligning with core values of trust, integrity, and respect.

Achieve individual and store goals for sales, customer acquisition, and loyalty program participation.

Participate in maintenance of the selling floor and fitting rooms, including resizing fixtures, putting go-backs away, executing markdowns, and signing fixtures and windows.

Complete markdown processes urgently and accurately in accordance with company standards.

Participate in store programs and selling events.

Ensure proper display of merchandise in compliance with brand standards.

Adhere to Asset Protection control and compliance procedures.

Support the store’s shortage and theft awareness program through reporting methods provided by the company.

Efficiently complete tasks or special projects assigned by store leadership.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience in a retail, customer service, or sales environment.

Proven sales track record and results‑driven mindset.

Competitive drive and entrepreneurial confidence to succeed.

Demonstrated ability to deliver a high standard of customer service and build exceptional customer relationships.

Thorough knowledge of the fashion industry and a passion for sharing expertise.

Ability to act promptly in routine situations and see a clear plan of action resulting in a positive outcome.

Ability to operate equipment such as radios, POS register, ticket scanners, and sensor removers.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Salary and Compensation The starting hourly rate for this position is between

$16.50‑$18.50 per hour . Factors that may affect starting pay include market, skills, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
