What You’ll Do Eaton Aerospace and Mission Systems Division is seeking a Production and Fabrication Technician for our Westminster, MD Facility. Their work directly supports the building and creation of hardware that enables:
Safety of our Warfighters
Firefighters and first responders to save lives
Aircraft to land
Rockets to launch
Satellites to orbit the earth
Astronauts to perform research
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Preparing pressure vessel liners for production through a cleaning and taping process
Aerosol painting pressure vessels
Sanding cured pressure vessels
UV coating and preparing pressure vessels for testing process
Ensuring that Environmental, Health, and Safety are included as part of everyday activities
Complying with all work and process instructions
Participating in 5S cell efforts and continuous improvement
Identifying improvement opportunities
Lifting up to 50 pounds
Utilizing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for each task associated with the job
Working safely and reporting all near misses, illnesses, and injuries following established procedures
Completing and maintaining training to meet the required level of certified elements in the position
Properly managing the traceability of components to ensure accuracy
Qualifications Required
Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience OR 1 year of military experience
US Citizen or Permanent Resident
Preferred
HS Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Technology
Assembly or Test experience in a manufacturing environment
Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, Cellular Manufacturing, One Piece Flow, and Continuous Improvement concepts
Experience with various types of industrial machinery equipment and tools such as lathes, curing ovens, thermal or life cycling machines, sanding and industrial painting tools, and standard hand tools
