Position Summary The Litigation Paralegal is responsible for supporting multiple attorneys in the Firm and is expected to have a high degree of responsibility for project management and implementation.

Drafting, proofing and editing of complex legal documents

Conduct legal research, prepare case summaries, fact compilation and chronology preparation

Organize case files, discovery materials and manage the document management system

Coordination of complex multi-step immigration processes

Tracking of appellate deadlines

Liaison work between trial counsel and appellate teams

Vendor management (translation services, document services, etc.)

Record preparation and appendix compilation

Citation checking and legal research using Westlaw and other databases

Brief formatting and compliance with court requirements

Docketing and deadline management for appellate and litigation matters

Understanding of trial court record review

Interact with other paralegals to assist with heavy workload or coverage

Client communication and status update coordination

Calendar management for multiple attorneys and complex deadlines

Billing and time entry

Perform other duties as requested

Skills & Abilities Education:

Associate’s degree in paralegal or legal studies or other related discipline is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of legal experience required, and 4+ years in legal experience preferred.

Additional Experience:

Proficiency with USCIS forms and procedures. Understanding of various visa categories and classifications. Knowledge of labor certification processes and prevailing wage determinations. Experience with corporate compliance audits and verification processes. Familiarity with consular processing and adjustment of status procedures. Understanding of immigration timelines and priority date tracking.

Computer Skills:

Skilled with MS Office Suite and other office products.

Certificates & Licenses:

Paralegal certification from ABA‑approved program is preferred.

Other Requirements:

Excellent problem‑solving skills and willingness to conduct research to learn new tasks. Strong organizational skills to maintain work lists, organize documents, and monitor deadlines and filings. Ability to ask questions, clarify issues, and provide project updates as needed. Excellent written and oral communication skills (comprehension & expression). Strong command of the English language, including excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation, form and style. Detail‑oriented and ability to create, compose, proof and edit correspondence. Possess sense of initiative and responsibility to manage case load and maintain confidentiality of records and information. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressured environment and maintain case/trial deadlines.

Work Environment Work environment is in a professional office setting. The majority of activity this role performs will be sedentary work.
