Holtzman Vogel
Holtzman Vogel is seeking an experienced litigation paralegal to join its Tallahassee office. This role supports attorneys in our litigation and land use practices in our Tallahassee office and across our eight offices nationwide. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple complex litigation matters simultaneously. You must understand the litigation lifecycle and have working knowledge of e‑Discovery platforms and ESI protocols. Experience with real estate and land use matters such as reviewing contracts, commercial leases, and purchase and sale agreements is a strong plus.
Responsibilities
Assist attorneys at all stages of litigation, including pretrial, discovery, motion practice, filings, through trial.
Conduct legal and procedural research, including researching federal and state court rules and local procedures.
Manage case calendars and proactively monitor and track court deadlines to ensure timely filings.
Assist with e‑Discovery tasks, including managing ESI and working within DISCO or other e‑Discovery platforms.
Organize, maintain, and manage electronic case files across multiple matters.
Prepare, organize, and electronically file pleadings and other court documents.
File documents through CM/ECF and PACER in federal courts, including the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida, as well as Florida state courts.
Coordinate scheduling and assist attorneys with administrative and litigation support tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Associate or bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (Paralegal Certificate from an ABA‑approved program preferred).
3–5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal in a law firm or litigation‑focused environment.
Baseline understanding of e‑Discovery concepts, ESI protocols, and litigation support platforms, including DISCO or other e‑Discovery platforms.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage competing deadlines across multiple cases.
Working knowledge of federal and Florida state court filing procedures, including PACER and CM/ECF.
Ability to independently research court rules, procedures, and filing requirements and apply them accurately.
