Summary The Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) Unaccompanied Housing (UH) program provides safe, clean, and comfortable living quarters for single or unaccompanied Sailors who are stationed away from their dependents. This position is located on NAS Pensacola, FL. The purpose of this position is to perform building manager duties, including daily inspections of vacant rooms and common areas to check for cleanliness and maintenance issues.

Major Duties And Responsibilities

Escorting new residents to their unit or room, when possible, and conducting a new resident visit to review furnishings and equipment.

Managing the checkout of cleaning equipment (e.g., vacuums) to residents.

Conducting daily facility assessments of the exterior, grounds, lounges, laundry rooms, kitchens, and public restrooms.

Verifying that vacant or unassigned units are ready for occupancy.

Monitoring the performance of custodial contractors.

Conducting room inspection visits of occupied or assigned permanent party spaces at least quarterly, following entry protocols specified in the Unaccompanied Housing Operations Manual and CNIC Note 11103.

Reporting property damage or violations to the complex manager or UH manager.

Serving as an escort for non-residents, including tenant commands, Public Works, Security, Fire, Environmental Protection Medical Unit personnel, UH Assessment Program contractors, and touring visitors.

Enforcing local UH guest and visitor policies and ensuring guests are escorted at all times.

Coordinating resident trouble calls and submitting work requests.

Ensuring security of all residents at all times.

Coordinating with complex manager, facility liaison, or PW staff regarding maintenance problems.

Performing minor preventive maintenance on furnishings and appliances.

Operating baggage storage rooms in assigned UH buildings.

Coordinating dormitory maintenance requirements.

Conducting RA facility training and recording completion in Enterprise Military Housing (eMH).

Conducting FF&E inventories and bar coding of furnishings, equipment, and rooms.

Supporting the annual Tenant Satisfaction Survey (TSS).

Facilitating the new resident orientation brief.

Maintaining resident privacy and providing quality customer service.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successfully complete a background investigation.

Must successfully pass the E-verify employment verification check.

Must complete a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process with two forms of ID from the Form I-9.

May be required to pass pre-employment examinations.

A valid State driver's license is required to operate motor vehicles.

Salary will be sent to a chosen financial institution by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.

Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

Qualifications In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities, to perform the duties described above. Experience should demonstrate the following:

Preferably 12 months of work experience demonstrating customer service principles and standards.

Proficiency in personal computer use and Microsoft Office applications.

Basic math and reading skills.

Clear verbal and written communication in English.

Knowledge of minor maintenance tasks such as changing clock batteries, light bulbs, lubricating locks and hinges, tightening furnishings hardware, and performing minor repairs.

All experience, including volunteer and part-time work, will be credited. Duties and responsibilities must be clearly identified for each position held and the total number of hours per week.

Key Requirements/Conditions Of Employment

Males must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.

Selectee may be required to successfully complete a probationary period.

Selectee is required to participate in the direct deposit pay program.
