Position Summary The HR Assistant provides clerical and administrative support to the human resource department. The individual may be involved in recruitment, payroll administration and any other area of human resources.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Provides support for the recruiting process (e.g., schedule interviews, send background checks, attend job fairs/recruitment events as needed, conduct drug tests and contact select candidates).
Coordinates the new hire orientation process (schedule orientation, prepare orientation paperwork, create employee files), including I‑9 completion/compliance.
Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
Provides support on auditing, review and processing paperwork and forms.
Participates in special projects and initiatives, including engagement, job fairs and HR assessments.
Maintains confidentiality and performs all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Supports open enrollment period to ensure smooth processing.
Supports weekly payroll processing.
Leads meetings with employees.
Other duties as assigned.
Other Duties
Work overtime as dictated by business whether mandatory or voluntary.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
High‑school diploma or GED required.
1 year of Human Resources/payroll/clerical experience.
Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within warehouse ranges of mild to moderate.
