Woodfield Boca Raton is seeking an experienced Sous Chef for our state‑of‑the‑art dining outlets. Our resort offers five dining venues, each with a varied and unique dining experience ranging from casual poolside bites to elaborate buffets and elegant dinners. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary and managerial skills, have a passion for culinary arts, and bring creativity, detail‑orientation, and experience in a high‑volume, high‑quality luxury environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare or directly supervise the daily preparation of all food items.
Responsible for food production in all club outlets.
Consistently maintain standards of quality, cost, eye appeal, and flavor of foods.
Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create menu specifications.
Taste all food items prepared prior to serving.
Create specials and new items for buffet and a‑la‑carte menus.
Plan weekly production lists.
Ensure all employees follow schedules and uphold sanitation and safety standards.
Communicate with the Chef regarding club member feedback.
Train cooks on standards for all stations.
Verify all received food products meet highest quality standards.
Ensure the receiving department accepts only quality items.
Requirements
Culinary degree preferred.
Prior experience as a la carte Chef, required.
Strong kitchen management and front‑of‑house experience.
Experience in a high‑volume, high‑quality hotel or high‑end restaurant environment.
Excellent communication skills.
