Norcross, GA The Sales Account Executive – Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS) is responsible for developing and managing relationships with commercial and industrial clients seeking to implement advanced building automation and control solutions. This role blends technical knowledge with consultative sales, identifying customer needs, designing tailored automation strategies, and managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through project close. The ideal candidate is a driven, field‑based sales professional who can quickly build a strong pipeline, manage complex deals, and consistently close profitable projects. Business Development & Client Management

Develop and manage new and existing B2B client relationships across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, and institutional markets Identify and pursue opportunities for Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS) integration with HVAC and mechanical systems Conduct client meetings, facility assessments, and technical discovery sessions Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions Sales Execution & Technical Solutions

Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through negotiation and close Prepare proposals, quotes, and RFP responses in collaboration with engineering and operations teams Present value‑driven automation solutions aligned with customer needs Negotiate scope, pricing, and timelines to close profitable opportunities Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Market Awareness

Partner with Controls Engineers and Project Managers to ensure solution accuracy and customer satisfaction Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and activity reports Stay informed on emerging smart‑building technologies, HVAC controls, energy management trends, and automation innovations Qualifications & Experience

3–7 years of experience in B2B sales within Building Automation, HVAC Controls, Energy Management, or related technical industries Proven ability to manage a book of business (low end ~$2M+) and consistently close commercial projects Understanding of HVAC systems, DDC controls, BAS/BMS platforms, and smart building technologies Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and presentation skills Experience working in solution‑based or technical sales environments Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms (Salesforce or similar) Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field preferred (not required for highly experienced candidates) Top Must‑Have Qualifications

Experience managing a commercial book of business Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical documentation Background in building automation, HVAC controls, fire alarm systems, or related technical industries Self‑starter who can hit the ground running and build pipeline quickly Key Competencies
