is seeking an outpatient physical therapist for our Northeast Wichita, KS clinic that is engaging and friendly with a drive to pursue exceptional clinical quality. You will evaluate, treat, and guide patients through individualized rehabilitation programs, focusing on functional improvement, pain reduction, and long-term wellness in a supportive, patient-centered environment.
Compensation: $68,000 – $78,000
Qualifications:
Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy (MPT)
Current and active state physical therapy license
New graduates are welcome
Responsibilities:
Evaluate patients, identify movement or functional limitations, and develop individualized treatment plans
Provide one-on-one care including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, patient education, and physical agents as appropriate
Document evaluations, goals, progress, and treatment sessions accurately and in a timely manner
Monitor patient progress and adjust plans of care to maximize outcomes
Educate patients and families on home programs, condition management, and recovery expectations
Collaborate with referring providers and clinic staff to coordinate care
Ensure informed consent by clearly communicating expected benefits, risks, and alternatives
Discharge patients when goals are met and provide recommendations or referrals as needed
Skills:
Active listening and clear communication with patients
Critical thinking and problem-solving during evaluations and treatments
Foundational clinical reasoning using evidence-based principles
Ability to learn new techniques and adapt to new information
Strong reading and writing skills for accurate documentation
Ability to build rapport and maintain social awareness with patients
Service-oriented mindset and willingness to support others
Effective time management for balancing caseload and documentation
