Position Overview Job Title:

Administrator Salary Range:

$120,000 to $160,000 annually, depending on skills and experience.

General Summary of Duties The Administrator is responsible for ensuring that daily operations of the ambulatory surgical center comply with local, state, and federal regulatory and accrediting body standards. This position oversees all clinical, administrative, and business office operations. The role includes planning, organizing, delegating, coordinating, staff utilization, budgeting, controlling and marketing the services provided by the facility. The Administrator also administers and supervises all medical personnel and is accountable for the coordination of all medical care and related services.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree, BSN, or RN preferred; equivalent experience required with a minimum of four years supervisory/management experience.

ASC experience highly preferred.

Ortho and/or Spine background preferred.

Knowledge of State, Federal and Accrediting Body regulations (AAAHC) and related healthcare standards.

Willingness to participate in goal‑setting and educational activities for professional advancement.

Experience in budgeting and personnel management.

Evidence of continuing education directly related to the job specifications.

Essential Functions

Drive top‑line growth & cultivate strong physician relationships.

Own and implement strategies for organic growth through increased volume, new physician recruitment, and service line expansion.

Design and execute physician recruitment and marketing programs to increase case volume via partnerships with physicians, medical groups, health system partners, local employers and third‑party payers.

Maintain strong physician relationships to support governance, board/partnership interests and confidence in Surgery Partners.

Develop and implement short‑ and long‑term strategic plans for best‑in‑class clinical, financial, and operational results.

Partner with Director of Operations and other leaders to design and implement growth initiatives and operational effectiveness opportunities.

Lead operational excellence initiatives.

Manage the center’s P&L, including financial controls and reporting.

Maintain annual strategic business plans aligned with partnership and market dynamics.

Motivate and empower staff to achieve the facility’s mission and purpose.

Develop appropriate working relationships with the Governing Board, Partners, Medical Staff, departmental leaders, facility staff, patients, and family members.

Develop and manage operating, capital, and projection budgets to meet established goals.

Implement plans for cost‑effective operations.

Oversee fiscal management to ensure effective billing, collection, appeals, and accounts payable processes.

Assist surgeons through provision of adequately prepared service teams.

Delegate responsibilities to professional, technical, and ancillary personnel.

Evaluate performance of all department personnel.

Coordinate administrative duties to ensure proper functioning of the staff.

Coordinate the provision and control of materials, supplies, and equipment with the Director of Supply.

Coordinate activity within the O.R. suite.

Act as Risk Manager Designee.

Interview, hire, counsel, and evaluate direct reports effectively and timely.

Participate in leadership development and implement programs for facility managers.

Ensure systems are in place to comply with State, Federal, and accreditation standards.
