Job Summary and Qualifications Responsibilities:
Responsible for receiving, evaluating, and coordinating ambulance transport requests. The role requires quick decision making and strong communication skills to ensure patients receive timely and appropriate medical transportation. Ability to multi‑task and handle stressful situations including operations during weather events. Coordination of internal emergency and non‑emergency transportation requests, prioritization of resources, monitoring the status of ambulance resources, maintaining related documentation, providing hospitals with updates, ensuring compliance, supporting crews, and arranging emergency medical services/third‑party ambulance resources as needed. Facilitates transport arrangements that match the patient’s clinical needs.
Education/Experience:
HS diploma required. Associate degree or higher preferred. Non‑clinical acute care setting, hospital, or dispatch center or emergency medical services preferred.
Scheduling Requirements
12 Hour Shifts – Required
Flexibility in scheduling – Required
Rotating Weekends – Required
Holiday Shifts – Required
Must live within 60 miles of a Patient Logistics Center Facility – PLC Locations include Madison, TN 37225, Richmond, VA 23225, Jacksonville, FL 32216, Tamarac, FL 33321, Plano, TX 75075 or Denver, CO 80237 – Required.
