Position Overview The Night Shipping Supervisor, under the supervision of the Operations Manager, is responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily warehouse activities such as supervising staff, training, food safety, safety, and warehouse maintenance.

Principal Responsibilities

Supervise and lead warehouse staff, ensuring they meet productivity and safety standards.

Ensure compliance with safety codes, policies, and procedures of the Company and standards established by OSHA.

Champion safety procedures, processes, and training to create and maintain a safety‑first culture in the warehouse.

Ensure compliance with Safe Quality Food (SQF) and conduct regular safety inspections.

Oversee warehouse maintenance, including equipment, facilities, and cleanliness; coordinate repairs and maintenance tasks as needed to ensure smooth operation.

Manage the organization of products and optimize warehouse space.

Maintain records, report relevant information, and prepare necessary documentation.

Communicate and coordinate with other departments and customers.

Work closely with the Warehouse Operations Managers to provide constant improvements to existing processes.

Perform additional duties as requested and assist other departments as needed.

Required Skills

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team of Warehouse employees.

Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex problems.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.

Familiarity with warehouse equipment.

Works well with others and consistently meets deadlines.

Ability to perform all essential duties satisfactorily.

Education/Experience High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and related experience. Degree in business, management, logistics, or a related field preferred. Knowledge of Safe Quality Food (SQF).

Working Conditions And Physical Demands The physical demands may include lifting and lowering heavy items, bending, reaching overhead, pushing and pulling heavy loads, working in awkward body postures, and performing repetitive tasks. Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed, walk primarily on a level surface, and lift as required, up to 50 pounds. Temperature in the dry warehouse ranges from 45° to 95°F; cooler ranges from 35° to 41°F, and freezer from –5° to 20°F.
