Senior Business Process Analyst
Contract Duration:
6 month contract, starting in early March

Capstone IT is helping a major client to hire a Senior Business Process Analyst. This role is onsite 5 days per week and will be a 6-month W-2 contract.
The Senior Business Process Analyst is responsible for leading the analysis, design, and optimization of business processes to support organizational efficiency and continuous improvement. This role partners with cross‑functional teams to evaluate current‑state processes, identify improvement opportunities, and implement effective, sustainable solutions aligned with enterprise goals.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze and assess business processes using structured methodologies to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
Design and recommend optimized process solutions, including supporting technologies, to improve operational effectiveness.
Collaborate with stakeholders across functional areas to support business transformation initiatives.
Elicit, document, and validate business requirements aligned with strategic objectives.
Develop and maintain process documentation, including process models, business rules, and process relationships.
Maintain the enterprise business process inventory in accordance with established process management frameworks.
Measure process performance through metrics and KPIs; analyze results to support data‑driven decision‑making.
Conduct process audits and post‑implementation reviews to ensure long‑term effectiveness and compliance.
Ensure adherence to QA/QC standards, company policies, and site safety requirements.
Prepare and present clear findings, recommendations, and process improvement proposals to stakeholders.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Operations, or a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
Minimum 7 years of experience in business process improvement, business process management, or strategic initiatives.
Proven experience with business process modeling using BPMN 2.0 or comparable standards.
Strong knowledge of business process management principles, governance, and continuous improvement practices.
Experience defining, measuring, and reporting process performance metrics.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts to diverse audiences.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to recognize patterns, dependencies, and opportunities for reuse.
Demonstrated ability to drive value and execute efficiently without over‑analysis.
Ability to work objectively, incorporate multiple perspectives, and adapt quickly to new concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with APQC Process Classification Framework or similar frameworks.
Knowledge of IIBA BABOK, ABPMP BPM CBOK, or related industry standards.
Experience with process management or process mining tools.
Prior experience as a Business Analyst supporting software solutions (SaaS, custom applications, or ERP platforms).
