Eaton’s IS AER MSD division is currently seeking a Hourly Supervisor- 1st Shift. This is a full‑time position based in Davenport, IA.
Expected annual salary range: $86,000 – $126,000, plus a variable incentive program.
What You’ll Do
Oversee the daily operation of the 1st shift team, ensuring all team members work effectively in line with business priorities.
Meet or exceed production and revenue targets, control gross margin, and provide the Operations team with information required for the SIOP process.
Work with Operations Managers and Bargaining Unit Leads to manage staffing assignments and meet production schedules.
Coordinate employee training and ensure procedures are followed to meet all quality requirements.
Resolve issues with quality, processes, equipment, materials, and labor, escalating concerns to the Operations Manager as needed.
Identify and implement continuous productivity and quality improvements.
Update relevant production metrics and facilitate regular team communication.
Support the team by fostering collaboration, providing guidance, and ensuring resources and tools are available to achieve goals.
Identify and track parts, assemblies, shortages, and provide capacity planning input.
Schedule overtime as required.
Ensure all operations follow safety and environmental principles and enforce S|H|E rules and procedures.
Required Qualifications
Associate’s degree and 3 years of supervisory/people‑leadership experience, or high school diploma and 5 years of supervisory/people‑leadership experience.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
No relocation; candidates must reside within 70 miles of Davenport, IA (Active‑Duty military excluded).
Employment for this role does not include immigration sponsorship or support for CPT, OPT, STEM OPT, H‑1B, etc.
Requirement to be a U.S. person for export‑controlled information access.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
3‑5 years of supervisory experience.
Experience in quality inspections or manufacturing environment.
Experience managing assembly line production.
