Ambulatory Service Manager I – Okatie Oncology Positioned within MUSC Health Ambulatory clinics, the Manager of Ambulatory Services oversees day‑to‑day clinic operations. The role collaborates with ICCE Department leaders, physicians, nurses, and staff to ensure timely patient access, operational efficiency, fiscal integrity, and an outstanding patient care experience. In addition, the Manager is responsible for clinical outcomes, fiscal stewardship, staff growth/retention, process improvement, metrics reporting, and overall quality of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily clinic operations within MUSC Health Ambulatory clinics.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and staff to ensure timely patient access to care.

Ensure operational efficiency and practice optimization.

Maintain fiscal integrity and manage budgetary responsibilities.

Lead staff growth, retention, and professional development.

Implement process improvements and monitor metrics and reporting.

Ensure quality of patient care and compliance with health regulations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required. Master of Nursing (MSN) may be required depending on position/magnet requirements.

Minimum of two years prior clinical work experience.

Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.

Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.

Physical Requirements

Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking, and climbing stairs.

Ability to work indoors and outdoors in temperature extremes, and from elevated and confined/cramped areas.

Ability to perform gross motor activities with fingers and hands, including firm grasping, fine manipulation, pinching, and repetitive motions.

Ability to use lower extremities for balance and coordination, lift and carry up to 50 lbs., and lift objects up to 36 inches unassisted.

Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand or at a distance, match or discriminate between colors, and determine distance/relationship between objects with depth perception.

Ability to maintain hearing acuity.

Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, and in a latex‑safe environment.

Ability to be physically qualified for respirator use as required.

Employee Type: Employee, Regular.

Schedule: 40 weekly hours, Full‑time.

Pay Rate: Salary, Health‑31.

Location: Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) – Okatie Oncology (offsite).
