Logistics Specialist (Outbound) – Space & Telecom Systems We are partnering with a U.S.-based technology company developing next-generation satellite and communications systems—technology designed to extend connectivity to every corner of the planet.

As part of this global expansion, the company is strengthening its operations in Midland, Texas, and is seeking a Logistics Specialist (Outbound & International) to play a critical role in executing complex, mission‑critical shipments that support advanced manufacturing and deployment programs.

Role Overview This is a full‑time, on‑site position focused exclusively on outbound logistics, with a strong emphasis on international shipping. The role centers on executing and optimizing outbound movements from the warehouse to final destination, ensuring shipments are compliant, cost‑effective, precisely documented, and delivered on time—both domestically and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

Own end‑to‑end execution of outbound shipments, with a strong focus on international freight.

Prepare shipments according to technical and regulatory requirements, including packaging per specification, labeling and packing slips, export documentation and compliance.

Manage international shipping documentation, Incoterms, and coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers.

Schedule pickups and deliveries; ensure on‑time departure and arrival across borders.

Coordinate domestic outbound shipments, including carrier selection, rate negotiation, label creation, and delivery tracking.

Maintain visual and written shipment documentation (before and after packaging).

Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Planning, Finance, and IT to align outbound shipments with production and deployment timelines.

Forecast outbound shipping needs and proactively communicate capacity or risk constraints.

Serve as the outbound logistics point of contact for internal stakeholders.

Develop, refine, and maintain outbound logistics SOPs.

Ensure compliance with export regulations, internal controls, and operational standards.

Monitor logistics costs, carrier performance, and delivery metrics.

Identify inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Address shipment delays, documentation issues, customs holds, or carrier exceptions.

Troubleshoot and resolve outbound logistics problems with urgency and ownership.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in outbound logistics, with significant international shipping exposure.

Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, telecom, or high‑tech environments preferred.

Proven experience working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and 3PL providers.

Strong negotiation and cost‑control skills.

Hands‑on experience with ERP systems and logistics execution tools.

Solid understanding of export documentation, international trade compliance, and Incoterms.

Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.

Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, execution‑driven environment.
