Skilled Technician (Residential & Light Commercial)

Amberstone is expanding our home services and light commercial operations and is seeking experienced service technicians with strong hands-on trade skills. This role is for professionals who take pride in their craftsmanship and understand what quality work looks like in the field.

This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for technicians with real experience in residential and light commercial environments who can execute independently and uphold professional standards.
Core experience we are looking for: • Framing and general carpentry • Drywall installation, repair, and finishing • Flooring installation and repair (LVP, laminate, tile, hardwood preferred) • General punch-out, repairs, and small remodel work • Ability to assess issues and execute proper solutions
What this role involves: • Performing residential and light commercial service work • Completing framing, drywall, flooring, and finish tasks to a high standard • Maintaining clean, safe, and professional jobsites • Communicating clearly with leadership and customers • Following established processes, safety expectations, and quality controls
What we expect from our skilled technicians: • Proven hands-on experience in the trades listed above • Reliability, punctuality, and strong personal accountability • Pride in workmanship and attention to detail • Professional conduct with clients and team members • A mindset focused on doing the job right—no shortcuts

Qualifications Strong technical skills in installation, maintenance, and repair for residential and light commercial systems Experience in troubleshooting, diagnostic evaluations, and problem resolution Understanding of safety standards and protocols, and ability to adhere to regulations Good communication and customer service skills to interact with clients and team members effectively Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team Relevant technical certifications or licenses (e.g., HVAC certification, electrical license) are a plus but NOT required. Previous experience in a similar role and familiarity with tools and equipment commonly used in the trade High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; additional technical training or an associate's degree in a related field is an advantage
