Accounting Specialist Job at Connect Search in Carol Stream

A growing manufacturing company in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Specialist to manage day-to-day accounting operations. This role supports AP/AR, payroll processing, reconciliations, and general bookkeeping activities to ensure accurate financial records and smooth business operations. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Base pay range

$50,000.00/yr - $58,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing
• Maintain ledgers and record daily financial activity
• Complete account and bank reconciliations, investigating discrepancies as needed
• Record transactions including expenses, sales revenue, vendor bills, and customer payments
• Process payments to utilities, vendors, suppliers, and service providers
• Prepare and send customer invoices for goods and/or services provided
• Reconcile accounts and monitor outstanding debits and credits
• Generate financial reports as requested by management

Qualifications

• 24+ years of accounting experience (manufacturing environment a plus)
• Strong understanding of AP/AR, reconciliations, and general accounting practices
• Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
